[TrunkCom] need help with making a scanner purchase decision

Thanks, I just sent the e-mail to the list. Where did you get your scanner? I thought about getting the PSR 800 but I'm not sure. What would I be better off with being blind the 500 600 or the 800? Or does it make a difference? I have to be honest, but when the concept of this new programming structure came out I've been cringing my teeth. I've also been putting off getting a new scanner as all my equipment right now is sufficient but I can see that after a little while it won't be. How much did the unit cost you? Also, how much does it cost for the software?
