Heyya Jeff:
I currently use a GRE PSR-500. I also use with JAWS PSR Edit configuration.
This software is totally accessible with JAWS. I can do all of the
programming I want & more using PSR Edit Config. There is a list which
several of us blind scanners are currently on which I started some months
back. It's called monitoring_blind. If you're interested in joining. Please
search it in google groups. I'll attempt to find the direct email address
for subscribing & post to the list here shortly.

Subject: [TrunkCom] need help with making a scanner purchase decision
HI everyone, I just was checking on line and here in Rochester, and Monroe
County and the rest of the Finger Lakes they are constructing a 700 MHz
Project-25 trunking system. It is being built by Harris, and my current
equipment does not track 700 MHz.
I guess my questions are is this new system going to be encrypted and
also, if it is not what scanner would be my best bet with regard to software
that will work with a screen reader such as JAWS?
Also, how far a long are they with building the system?
