Members,
As you know, there are always 2 sides to a story. With that in mind, I would like to address some of the comments Tom S recently wrote to the list.
At 09:32 PM 1/16/2006, Tom S wrote:

Neither Tom or Dave had contacted Al or Myself about any delivery problems. I monitor the server constantly and can see major delivery problems and have seen very few that have lasted more than a day in the last couple of years.

This doesn't say how many people responded. I saw about 15 msgs in the archives on this subject and not all of those were in favor of a move. Even if the entire membership had responded 2:1 in favor would mean that over 200 people did not want the list to move. What about those folks??

It has been policy for at least 4 years that no public list be "moved" from the server. This issue had come up before and been discussed on our list-admin email list by Al and the list owners. This shouldn't have been something Dave didn't know about.

When I told Dave that he couldn't "move" the trunkcom list but he certainly could start another list he responded in part by writing me (and I quote); "Tom Swisher and I are owners of this email list. It will be either moved or shut down."
Anyway, enough of this. Because there are members that don't want to be moved to Yahoo, this list will remain here.
If Dave or Tom or anyone else wants to start another scanner list on Yahoo, feel free. And for those that would rather be there, you're certainly free to leave this list and join them, or even belong to both. It's up to you, not someone else.
So please folks, lets get back on topic.
