[TrunkCom] regular talk groups and private calls and

I do NOT think that I have ever seen any list include
the I-Calls, only MOTOROLA(Since I think you mentioned
that this is a MOTOROLA TRS.) Talk Groups divisible by
16 and Status Bit Talk Groups that are
N O T divisible by 16.
How can you tell if the Talk Group is Regular or
Status with a calculator or computer? Well the GRE
models will only accept the Regular Talk Groups while
the Uniden models will accept both.
What I do NOT know is when you are listening to an
I-Call is that if that is Talk Group that is displayed
on the screen or the actual I.D of the individual
RADIOS. On small systems I suppose one can monitor
I-Calls with ease even though the scanner may NOT
include the function, on bigger systems it gets
complicated. Here is the other thing about I-Calls,
on my Pro-92B; I can see them displayed on MOTOROLA
TRSs but on EDACS just like with the LCNS when the
scanner is in SEARCH mode, you ain't gonna see them
displayed on the Talk Group/P.L./D.P.L. line.
How do you recongiure the RADIOS?
Know if the bus system actual owns the TRS well then
you migth have to go the ADA Adminstrator, and then
the bus board. Here in North East Ohio, the company
actual has their own frequencies even though they have
COUNTY plates on the buses but they do NOT use I-Calls
as far as I know. So PARATRANSIT has it own Talk
Groups, so you might have to go to whoever is in
charge of PARATRANSIT then to the board and then maybe
to the COUNTY? I really do NOT know. You might even
haveto talk to the RADIO SHOP FOLKS.
DISCLAIMER: I am NOT a lawyer NOT do I play one on
TV.
I do NOT work with radios, radio is my hobby only.
This advise is only provided since I am a nice guy.
Is this system located in Michigan? First they might
NOT like the fact that you can listen in on the TRS
after they spent all that money and I hope that you
have a permit if you carry your scanner
around with you. Then again, they might NOT care if
you lisiten to the TRS. I know that here in North
East Ohio, they have a Two Tower Affiliation Networked
EDACS TRS based on the Transit Master System, this
includes AVL too. The Transit Master Units look like
over grown PDAs on the buses almost like
minature laptops. I hope that this will help you out.
