[TrunkCom] Freeware for the BC250D other then E-scanner and recording software that you can use on your PC

Hi everyone.  I am looking for a couple of things here.  First does anyone
know of any plawhere I can get a hold of some freeware that will work
better then the E-scanner software that comes with the BC250D?  Also, what
good PC recording programs are available out there for recording audio
from a scanner?  information would be great, and thanks in advance.
