The tube type cb collectors group on yahoo would be a good forum for your question. But, in response to your question I recommend you use a quarter wave whip and some wire radials if you want to cheap out. You could even put up a half wave sloper off of a tree or other high object. I used one in 10 & 11 meters for years wit great results.
