I hope I got this right as this is my first message.
I have an elderly lady up in East Texas that wants to get back on CB, yes I know this is not a CB net but her is alone for all but about 2 or 3 days a month up there. Now I would like to construct a 5/8 wave antenna for her. I have old radio's and coax but I don't know what I should use to match the 5/8 wave vertical antenna to 50 ohm coax. She has no money and being allowed to stay where she is by doing a few chores and keeping the building up. I'm open for all suggestions to help with this problem as money is rather tight right now for me also. I really would appreciate your help if you can. Thanks so much. Boy I get 50-100 messages a day on this net. Does anyone have time to talk on the radio?
One Question: Does anyone know for sure that the Communications Act of 1934 was ever ratified?
