[TrunkCom] PA's state system (PSRS)

I think the concern in the Commonwealth is that M/A Com has never been
tested in a large state with our terrain. I guess the bugs are being worked
out, as we are mucho dollars over budget. All PSP vehicles are equipped
with M/A Open Sky radios. The Open Sky system has been used for the past
year or so fro MDT transmissions. Although the VHF frequencies are sill
being used, the transmissions are being channeled through a modified M/A Com
system. Several Commonwealth agencies are already using the proprietary M/A
Com Open Sky system. I guess one could say we are 90% done.

Well, no matter who the vendor is, they'll have to take into account the
mountains and all of the slopes and everything in your state, but I guess
that Connecticut is doing well with their system, and maybe someone could
clarify on here. Our big thing with 800 MHz in Michigan be it cellular or
the state's system or whatever is that in Northern Michigan nearby where I
used to live when I first joined trunkcom a while ago there is a lot of
wilderness, and it presents a challenge for everything, but it isn't so much
of a problem in the cities.
