Hi Ron and the group. I haven't heard any word on when Grosse Pointe or
if they will switch to 9600 BAUD, but there has been no talk of it, and I
think that when all of these systems go 9600 by 2004 or so then Uniden
will have upgraded or scme out with something that will handle 9600 BAUD.
Why won't Detroit Fire use digital? I know that on the current
conventional system that I believe still uses tubes they have been having
a lot of 60 HZ yhum, and some firefighters Ihhave talked to from Detroit
are very picky with radios and wwha they want them to do. They are toning
out for runs and things like that, but fire admin is using something else
in the area of paging. Does anyone know how DPD will be set up with
districts and precincts, and if they plan on encrypting anything?
