Jerry,
I am not a vulture waiting for their last gasps. I am a blacksmith who hates to see good tools auctioned for lawn ornaments. I share with you a certain sorrow when anyone loses their business or shuts down their website. I am more interested in good tools going to good homes than picking the last flesh from the bones of good people.
On this same subject, Jock Dempsey helped me out personally with questions about JYH and his iForge is an immensely valuable tool for beginning to journeyman balcksmith, or anyone who is trying to make a little money at this. That someone would say he mismanaged his site because he did not want it to be a financial as well as temporal burden is a tad simplistic. I think we, as a smithing community, should examine how we can preserve not only this information, but this resource, and by that, I mean Jock himself.

It is I who formed the blacksmith,
who fans the flame into a fire and
fashions a weapon fit for it's work.
