That's the main thing I noticed in my forge- the reflected heat. I 
already had Durablanket (?) for the inside layer of insulation, which is 
a huge improvement on Kaowool, but a coating of Plistix must have bumped 
the top end up a couple hundred degrees. Forge weld like crazy...
