[Yaesu] VHF/UHF mobile FTM-100D : RS-232 computer-control protocol ?

I find this is an interesting discussion.  Several viewpoints are offered.  Here is my solution to this very serious problem.

If the rig being considered does not meet your needs with regard to features and price, don't buy it.

Find one that does meet your needs.
