Don't know when it first appeared, but the Yaesu FT-890AT was a GREAT RIG -- still performing beautifully with it's built-in antenna tuner (the AT part of the designation). I believe the FT-890 was available without the tuner, but any right-thinking amateur went for the gusto and got it loaded up. One of the real good HF rigs out there. W4VIC
