Ah so  ;o))))))  Someone else, a week or so ago, was looking for the
sidetone volume control on a radio and although it was found on the
schematic, there was no readily-visible indication in the manual that the
pot was located on the back panel. So that problem was easily resolved, too
 ;o))))))

Sometimes those manuals are just so large and complicated, that one never
learns all the things your radio can do, before it's time to move on to a
"new" radio  ;o|
