[Yaesu] FT-897D question

Just FYI-

I have been very pleased with the LDG AT-897 tuner/W4RT One Touch Tune combo
, used with my FT-857. It will handle a full 10:1 SWR, while the FC-30 will
handle 3:1 max.

As far as power, the combo does not appear to decrease the power output of
the FT-857 during tuning. I just checked it with a power meter. It would
require grounding the Brown wire to drop power output as Deon said below, or
changing the power output in the menu.
