[Yaesu] 1000d

hi folks  i just picked up a used 1000d v 5.85    it "glitched" on me a
couple of times and wonder if you have any ideas..  it "locked up" after
turning on the notch...   that cleared up...  then once when powering up,
the rig came on , however ...  no display..  that seemed to clear up...  the
display  also had a little "flicker" and that seemed to go away...  the rig
had set idle for probably 5 months before i fired it up....   does this
sound like a problem rig...  or is this nothing to be concerned about?   tnx
