[WIham] Thursday FM Net on 146.46

KB9KTD - HUBER-LAN - EQ-REPAIR Greetings all,

 First a reminder that the LaCrosse Area FM net is on 146.46 Mhz simplex Thursday at 8:30  PM.  This is open to all licensed amateur radio operators in the area.    I encourage HT operators to get some form of antenna on the roof of their QTH.  Nothing fancy, a scanner antenna, home brew 1/4 wave vertical or even a mobile antenna can be used.   

2nd.  I would like to thank the guys that got on 223.500 Mhz FM last nite
for the Sprint 222 Sprint to help out w/ points for me and anyone else 
contesting.  I was pleasantly surprised to see atleast 4 stations in the area have radios for this band.  
  I know this band is under used, but it is a very good band, better than 144 in many cases.  If you have one of the radios that has 223 FM,  Tuesday nite is nation wide 222 activity nite.  We now know some of us
in the area have the band.... lets use it.
