*We will be activating the North Central WV Skywarn Net at 0800 EST (8 AM)
on the W8MWA repeater (145.430 MHz) to receive your snowfall amounts and
road reports.*
My report from Suncrest, Morgantown, WV at 0730 EST was 1.5", light snow
and 27.9F,

*What To Know:*
➔ Timing: Through 1 AM Tuesday Morning
➔ What: Steady upslope snow in the ridges will continue through Monday
night with additional amounts of 3-8” (locally higher in the highest
elevations of Eastern Tucker County). Hourly snowfall rates may peak in the
0.5”-0.75” range this afternoon.
Scattered snow showers continue in the lower elevations with additional
amounts of 1-2”
expected. Slick roads expected during the morning commute
*Today’s Maximum Wind Gust*
Wind gusts are expected to increase into the 25-30 MPH range this afternoon
across most
of the region.
➔ In eastern Tucker County (circled), where a Wind Advisory is in effect, a
few gusts of
up to 50 MPH are expected on the higher peaks through 3 PM. These winds may
cause blowing and drifting of snow, with very low visibility at times.
