[W8MWA] Informational: Brief Weather, Skywarn Update, WPXI-TV

*Our Skywarn plan going forward is to ask for snowfall and road condition
reports at noon today and again at 1700 EST (5 PM.) If you can do this for
the NWS at those times it would be appreciated.*

So how important are our reports? The NWS Pittsburgh and first responders
have repeatedly expressed their appreciation for our snowfall reports. And
the media has as well, both in Pittsburgh and in Clarksburg. This is a plus
for amateur radio. It's great publicity for us.

Case-in-point, this morning I received a direct message from Scott
Harbaugh. Scott is a well known TV Meteorologist. I am sure that some of us
watch his weather reports on WPXI-TV Pittsburgh. Scott expressed his
personal appreciation for our reports. So the media is noticing and
crediting amateur radio for our Skywarn reports and that is notable!
