The NWS Pittsburgh has issued a series of *Urgent Winter Weather
Messages *for North
Central West Virginia. The Weather messages follow below. *Please review
the messages below to find the ones particular to your QTH.*

Also, the NWS Pittsburgh has requested snowfall reports from us
particularly on Saturday and Monday. Please take a plastic or wood ruler
and measure the snowfall when it occurs in your area. *They need our
reports*.

*We will be running the North Central West Virginia Skywarn Net during this
Winter Weather event. Please monitor the W8MWA two-meter repeater
especially on Saturday and Monday.*

SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 2 and 4 inches.

* WHERE...Portions of North Central West Virginia.

* WHEN...From 4 AM Friday to 10 AM EST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions with potential quick bursts of
snow that rapidly reduce visibilities. The hazardous conditions could
impact the Friday morning and evening commutes.

...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM FRIDAY TO 10 AM EST SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 6 and 12
inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

* WHERE...Eastern Preston, Eastern Tucker, and Western Tucker Counties.

* WHEN...From 4 AM Friday to 10 AM EST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could
impact the Friday morning and evening commutes. Gusty winds could bring
down tree branches and create periods of near whiteout conditions due to
blowing snow.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could
impact the Friday morning and evening commutes.
