All: 
DHS has replaced the original Color coded  warning system with a new 
system.  Below is a link to learn more about the  new system.  Please share with 
your staff so that if/when a “bulletin”, or  an “Alert” that is either “
Elevated” or “imminent” everyone knows what those  mean.  The web link has 
some really good resources to help everyone learn  about the system.   
Please consider sending this link out to  your staff so that they can 
familiarize themselves with the new system.    
Local Emergency Management  Coordinators, please ensure that your elected 
officials are briefed on  the new system.    
County Specialized  Teams (CERT, HazMat, RACES, CART)- Please take a few 
minutes at your next  meeting to discuss. 
Schools- I know many of  you are working on updating your plans, you may 
want to incorporate this new  information into you plans.  
Hospitals- you too may  want to update your plans with the new system
