Duane,

Are you aware that Johnny Horton did two different versions of the Battle of
New Orleans?

One, the conventional, was for release in this country. The other was for
release in the UK. It was the same song from the opposite perspective.

I have an MP3 (although not high quality) of the British version.

Gerry

Subject: [Vintage-Audio] Song Title Puzzle

Hi All,

As most of you know, I am quite good at vintage music titles. However, while

remastering the Nashville B. album entitle "Nashville Brass Turn To Gold" I
found a song title that puzzled me.

It is entitled "January 8Th", but I know it as "The Battle Of New Orleans".
Now is there some relationship, historical or otherwise, between this date
and said battle?

Thanks!
