[Vintage-Audio] Song Title Puzzle

Gerry,

No. I was not aware that Johnny Horton had recorded two different versions 
of his hit song. I am both surprised and amused. The British certainly know 
how to hold a grudge, after 142 years Johnny Horton still had to record the 
song "their" way so that it could be played on radio stations in the UK.

He should have made his case to the VOA. Gotten them to play it the correct 
way and blasted it into the UK with a million or so watts! After all, the 
British lost, even if it does make their tea taste tinny and their crumpets 
stale!

So what did they do with "Snoopy Vs The Red Barron"? Exchange Snoopy for 
Queen Elizabeth, hairy legs, armpits and all? (LOL!)

Gerry, I do not own a MP3 player. I admit that I am a spoiled audio brat, as 
I never listen to music on my computer systems. If you have it on a standard 
CD I could play that.
