[Vintage-Audio] Need Help With Sony DAT Message

Hi All,

Kind of - sort of, but not technically vintage, yet! But I know not where
else to ask.

If you can find a copy of the manual for the Sony ZA5 ES DAT deck on-line,
perhaps you can help me.

There is the word "OVER" appearing on the digital display in red. It is
followed by numbers from two to sixty. Based on what was described to me, I
think those numbers are decibels.

Everything works just as it should. The recording level is not too high, the
playback level shows slightly less than the source in strength etc.

I need one of you to find what this message, which 'appears' to be supposed
to be in red, actually is all about.

I am sure all of you know how difficult it is to deduce what some to the
digital displays say, and me having to use readers who are not into audio
makes it even more complex.

Since it is in red, I am concerned.

Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you.
