[Vintage-Audio] Need Help With Sony DAT Message

Duane,

I don't know. I dont have the Sony DAT but I do have the 
Sony CDRW and it has a red "over". They may use the same 
Sony-logic. The "over" is part of the bar-meter for signal 
strength. If you have the menu set for peak signal 
indication storage, called "peak hold on" in Sony-speak, the 
"over" will stay on once any input has exceeded the meter 
range. Press "clear" will reset it until the next overage.
