Rudy,
Perhaps. However, some say the Revox B77 only has a pause that operates when the
button is manually held down. So what I need to determine, is which is the case
for sure. Anybody out there with one that can tell me for certain which way it
is supposed to work?
Thanks.

the pause relay is not latching either due to dirty contacts or open driver
transistor

Subject: [Vintage-Audio] Re Revox Pause Control
The Revox model B77 has a pause control that I thought was solenoid operated.
However, it only pauses the tape when I hold the button down. As soon as I
lift
my finger from the pause button, the tape ressumes motion. I do not yet have
the
manual for this unit, so I can not refer to it. Is the pause supposed to work
like this or am I missing a step or is it simply not working correctly?
Thanks for your assistance.
