Jeff,

If you can, try locating your antennas in your garage attic.  There is no
reason for duct work in the garage other than the furnace that feeds into
the house.  a couple years ago, I rigged up a couple of Moxon antennas
for 15 and 17 meters.  I ran coax from my shack along the soffits to the
garage.  The antennas worked fairly well given the low height (~ 12 AGL).

Word of caution:  If your garage has aluminum foil insulation under the
roof - forget it.  You will have a nice "attic heater" from the RF, hi.
