[TVARC] SATERN's Net Rally (June 25 - July 8) - Details

Hi Members of TVARC's Mailist,

As mentioned previously, the Salvation Army Team Emergency Radio Network
(SATERN) will be celebrating it's 30th Birthday by hosting a SATERN Net
Rally.  This Rally will start on this Monday (June 25) & run through July
8, 2018.  So, all amateur radio operators are encouraged to help celebrate
this birthday bash by checking into as many SATERN radio nets as they can
during this period.  Read on for all the details, including the special
event QSL cards you can earn as well as other recognition.

So, on behalf of SATERN, below are the details for the Net Rally (as
extracted by me) from a recent e-mail, dated June 22, 2018, from AG6SV (Ken
G., SATERN's Net Manager).

SATERN [Net] Rally

SATERN Turns 30 years old on Monday, June 25 & several SATERN nets will be
participating in a SATERN Rally.

Here's a brief summary of this event.

Days: Monday June 25 through Sunday July 8

Exchange: Check-ins will be asked for their call-sign, name, location, &
any brief comments they wish to give. Signal reports will not be recorded.

Rewards: Each check-in will receive a commemorative WW9E QSL card.
Operators checking into eight (8) or more nets will receive a SATERN
certificate via e-mail. The top 5 check-ins with the most confirmed log-ins
will receive an honorable mention on the SATERN web page, the SATERN News
Letter, & an announcement on the International SATERN 20 meter net on
Monday July 23.
