Hi Pete/K2PS,

Thanks for the nice summary (how to/tips) regarding working the upcoming
Baker Island DXpedition using the FT8 digital mode with Joel Taylor's " WSJT-X"
software.

Your summary reminded me to re-visit the Baker Island DXpedition's website
(URL: http://baker2018.net/ ). It also made me put an entry in my
e-calendar to remind me of dates of operation for this exciting DXpedition.

While browsing that DXpedition's home page, I came across this handy link
to a *propagation predictor* keyed to your specific location (grid square)
and basic type of antenna (vertical, beam, etc.). So, those interested in
working the Baker Island 2018 DXpedition might want to use this link to get
a free propagation forecast to give them a rough idea when (& on what ham
bands) they have a higher probability of successfully working this
DXpedition. You can get your customized propagation forecast by going to
the Baker Island DXpedition's website and then clicking on the
"Propagation" button (in the left pane) & then clicking on the "LINK"
hotlink under this section of the Propagation web page:

your own personalized prediction chart between Your QTH and Baker Island
during the DXpedition.
All you need are your Grid Square location and your antenna configuration".

While also at the Baker Island DXpedition's home page, you should bookmark
(and save/print) their *operating band plan* by clicking on their home
page's " Operating Plan" button (also in the left-hand pane).
