Hello everyone, 
  My nane is Gordy new to list thought i whould just jump right in. I am a ham radio operator holding the class of tech plus my call sign is N8KON. I have many intrests in radio besides the ham bands. I have been scanning for years before i decided to join the ham ranks. My radios are as listed. For scanning i use a BC296d for around the house with a   Max 800, or the Diamound discone on the roof. And for the truck a BC796d with a Antenex Cclosed coil colinear. I monitor mostly 800Mhz for local police and fire. we are on the new 800 system here in greater Detroit area. On the ham side i run a Kenwood TS 430 and Diawa anntenna tuner connected to a 1/4 wave dipole  for the low bands being only a tech i can only talk on a small portion of the 10 meter band and some CW on 40meters. I also like lisening to Am talk the marine freqs in the summer lots of activity on the them being so close to Lake Erie and Lake St clair. I also run a Yaesu Ft-7800R for 2 meters and 440 with Larsen
 1/4 wave in the truck. Well hope i can leran some new information about the ever changing world of scanning . If can help with anything let me know the more scanner nut,s the better.                                                   73 Gordy
