[TrunkCom] How do I program trunked radio systems?

I am wondering how to program trunked radio systems....... How do you program the control channel and the talk group ids? I have a radio shack pro-96 digital trunking scanner. I've noticed radio reference will give you the trunking information and talk group ids but they won't explain how you program the information. Any help will be appreciated.
