Hello everyone.
I have now entered my 1st frequency into the 1st bank of my BCT8. I get one
end of conversation on 5 of these channels. I have programmed talkgroups
into bank 1 also, is this correct? Or should I not have the talk groups
loaded? According to radioreference.com there's only 3 LCN's in my area of
Corpus Christi, TX. They are 1, 2, and 15. I am getting 5 the way I have it
programmed with the talk groups. Should I clear the talk groups? Thanks for
a reply.

It works Jeff, it's just a process of elimination and I've used it for a few
years to map out new systems, including 900-MHz narrowband systems.
I would add that you should drop out of trunking mode to see what channel
you've stopped on, i.e. when you hear activity on the system, drop out of
trunking mode and (for example) you'll see you're on LCN 4, now you know
what frequency corresponds to LCN 4. Lock it out and do the same process
for the next frequency until you've mapped out every LCN. The method works
on every trunking model that supports EDACS.
