[TrunkCom] status bit functions on the newer Uniden scanners

Is there a way to turn of the status bit on an 895? The local pd smartzone
trunk leaves them on 99% of the time (8644 displays as 8647). I vaguely
remember a discussion several years ago about reprogramming the fleet map to
accomplish this.

btw - I was at one of the sites for the CMPD trunk yesterday & happened to
notice that a tech's van was parked outside their compound. Being the
curious type, I figured WTH, let's see if they will give me a dog & pony
show. One of the tech's called his sup on the nextel and was told that it's
not open to the public!
- That really ticked me off as my tax dollars paid for that system. Anyone
have a similar experience?
