Mike, you are 100% correct. I get very little spam on the email account 
that I use for email lists, including this list - maybe 3 or 4 a week. I 
get far more spam as a result of having my resume on several job-search web 
sites like Monster, CareerBuilder, Dice, HotJobs and others - sometimes 
20-30 a day! And the only Yahoo groups that I have received spam through 
the group is a couple railfan groups where the list owner has abandoned the 
responsibility of managing the group (and in one case, closed the email 
account that was used to start the group). True, Yahoo does not make it 
blatantly obvious how to disable those Marketing Preferences, but at least 
it can be done, which is more that some other email reflectors offer.
