Dave and others - there is an easy way to stop Yahoo from sending you junk mail when you register.  
a. Under your ID at the top of the page, there's a link called 'My Account'. 
b. When you click on that, you're taken to a 'Yahoo Report Card', which summarizes your account. About 1/3 of the way down, there's a link that says 'Edit Marketing Preferences'
c. On that screen, make sure NOTHING is checked.

Been there, done that. I get very little, if any, spam junk from Yahoo anymore.

I'd suggest putting this in the announcement when the move occurs, and also repeating it from time to time for the benefit of those that are new to Yahoo.
