[TrunkCom] OpenSky Talk groups

Keeping in mind it is just a patch that is probably what Farmington is
putting up with unfortunately. About a month ago I got to hear some
ProVoice patched to MPSCS, and when they were on coverage areas it seemed
like they were talking under water. I wasn't that impressed, and even
with the analogue talkgroups on the EDACS side that was patched to the VHF
freq there was still a VOIP delay.
There was a rumor going around the net a long time ago that you
would be able to get hold of a scanner from M/Acomm to do OpenSky, and I
guess they have capability of clear OpenSky and encrypted OpenSky, but
nothing more, so it is just a rumor. Do you know how Farmington is liking
the OpenSky? I have heard good and bad things, but it seems like the
county is taking its sweet time with moving up to the OpenSky system?
Also, what types of events is that patch active?
