Hello Roger and all,

Hope this mail makes to the list and maybe I can finally post to a
wth.net list again.
Closest digital system (conventional) to ATL are the TN Game Wardens and
their VHF high band repeaters. For APCO-25 trunk systems in GA you have
the following:

Feds/Military
The FLETC in Brunswick.
The GSA trunk system in ATL
Fort Gorden (VHF and UHF systems)
Fort Stewart (Hunter AAF).

Civilian
Lowndes County PS Valdosta
Macon-Bibb County PS Macon

And
Henry County PS McDonough which uses the Pro Voice IMBE
And that as they say is that. Good luck.

Monitors search the 162.0-174.0/138.0-150.8 (less 144-148)/406.10-420.0
MHz federal land mobile services remember to do so in 12.5 kHz spacing.
All new systems since January 1995 and 1998 had to be capable of 12.5
kHz spacing. By the end of this year all 162-174 MHz systems must be
converted to narrowband. Even in as rural an area as we live in here in
B-town I am seeing new VHF/UHF stuff popping daily. My 796D is running a
constant 163-174/406.1-420 MHz chain search looking for activity (and
finding it). Watch for a lot of new trunk systems in these bands
especially the UHF. If you haven't done some scanning in those bands
lately and have one of the new digital scanner, I strongly urge you to
spend some time looking for freqs using your search mode. You might be
pleasantly surprised what you hear.

Finally, I would appreciate someone in ATL that can check to see if the
trunk system I have listed below is up and running and can give me a
report on it's status.
Atalnta Unknown Federal System
System: Motorola Type II Smartnet
Motorola System ID: 9400
Base Frequency: 406.950 MHz, Spacing: 25-kHz
Frequencies: 406.950 408.550 409.250 410.150
