[TrunkCom] RE: DPL On A TRS???

If you listen carefully (with bassy headphones)
you will hear a low level digital signal that sounds just like DPL or LTR data
on Motorola voice channel outputs and on both the inputs and
outputs on EDACS systems.
Motorola systems use a connect tone on the input (like PL)

I suspect that part of the reason for these is to help keep out
far away systems using the same frequencies and talkgroups.

I don't think it would be possible to use DPL or PL on a trunked system.

Can any of the experts on the list tell me if I'm right and explain more?
