[TrunkCom] RE: DPL On A TRS???

Before the availability of trunktrackers, I used to see a peudo tone display 
on some of the talkgroups on the Charlotte - Mecklenberg County (N.C.) trunked 
system ... particularly the Medic talkgroups.

I was using a pair of Pro 2006 scanners, mated to a pair of AIE TCF-4 tone 
units.
            
I was told the tone units were trying to identify the connect tone present on 
the trunked system.

Unfortunately, I couldn't use the TCF-4's tone filtering capabilities to only 
open squelch on the Medic talkgroups as I scanned the trunked system's 
frequencies with the conventional scanners.
