Jeff -
Good call. I monitored the South System today. My "Bit Status" was set =
to
"Off". Things were pretty quiet (I monitored the "Charlie" talkgroups). =
I
heard traffic on Charlie Conference but that was about it. I went into
search mode and noticed that Charlie 1 was coming up as 8915 (it is =
normally
8912). As soon as I set the "Bit Status" for that Bank to "On", I heard
traffic again on my programmed talkgroups in scan mode.

Richard,
Do you have the status bit turned off on the bank you have Mecklenberg
County=20
in?
I don't normally listen to the CMPD talkgroups, but they often pair the=20
talkgroups with multiselect ... so the I-Ds of each of the paired I-Ds =
will
come=20
across +3 (8755).
Charlotte-Mecklenberg Police does this when the dispatcher staffing is =
less=20
than the number of talkgroups being worked ... staff shortages due to
vacations=20
/ training / appreciation, times when dispatch traffic is slow =
(overnight),=20
etc.
