I mean, for example, if there is a fire brigade that use a Motorola type II system for their voice communications, do they also have voice pagers in the same system to forward alarms to fire fighters on call at home?

There are no trunk-following pagers that I'm aware of. It is possible
for conventional pagers to work on a trunked system using channel
steering, where a particular talkgroup is always "steered" to a specific
frequency. However, this won't work if the channel is occupied by
another talkgroup when the page has to go out.
Most departments that I am familiar with still use their VHF pagers for
alerting only, or use leased pagers from a commercial service.
