Well, the Down River system also used for a while the 9600 BAUD control
channel and may go back to it, but I know that it was a concern about the
new scanners being able to tollow the control channel.  As far as I know
Grosse Pointe won't be getting that kind of a channel, but it could
change.  Also, I don't think that Grosse Pointe will get encryption for a
while, but that could change once the new scanner arrives.
