[TrunkCom] Uniden's 250d and 785d in Baltimore, MD?

Hi folks...
Being substantially scanner technology illiterate I'm a bit lost in
all the variances of modern systems. But I enjoyed my BC235XLT,
until Baltimore activated their new Motorola Astro IMBE hybrid system
two years ago. That locked me out of "police" and some of the "fire"
and "EMS" action.
I kind of liked the plug-in crystal days, when it was just a matter of
DIP switches and cheap crystals. And somewhere packed away I still
have two old crystal 10-channel scanners, museum quality.

My questions are:
Will Uniden's new 250d and 785d, with optional card installed, work
on Baltimore's current trunked Astro IMBE hybrid analog/digital system?

Is there any inkling that Uniden or another scanner house will make
PCI-card or PC-card (for laptops) versions of the new models?

Is there any scuttlebutt about other scanner houses producing new
models that'll have the (alleged) capabilities of Uniden's new 250d and
785d?
