Members,


I know most members here at PC ARES RACES are already Amateur Radio operators.

However, I do want to notify everyone of the “Amateur Radio” licensing class on March 14th & 15th, 2015. This is an excellent opportunity for your family, friends, and neighbors to obtain their Technician Class Amateur Radio License.  So please pass the word around especially to OEM and CERT members.


This is also a great opportunity for Passaic County municipal and or county employees (Police, Sheriff, Health Dept., DPW and OEM personnel) to get their amateur license for improved interoperability during times of emergency or disaster.


There are about 40 seats still available.


Amateur Licensing Seminar -  Dave Everson KC2RIG is the instructor with his VE team 
Location: Passaic County Public Safety Academy 300 Oldham Road Wayne, NJ


Day 1 – Saturday, March 14, 2015    Room 124


            8 AM till 5 PM with two breaks and lunch and Presentation of Materials


Day 2 – Sunday, March 15, 2015      Room 122


            8 AM till about noon, with one break then lunch, a quick review after lunch.


VE testing will run no later than 2:30 - 3 o'clock PM, 
Cost / Fee to take the licensing exam is $15 per person.  This fee covers VE (Volunteer Examiner’s) costs in preparing exam items.
