Troop 139 Scouts and Parents....
*In place of a meeting this Tuesday, we would like all scouts (and their
families if they would like to join them) to come to Riewerts Funeral Home,
187 South Washington Ave, Bergenfield at 7 PM and pay respects to Mr.
Johnson. *
*SCOUTS: Please be sure to dress in a clean Class A - FULL SCOUT UNIFORM
WITH NECKERCHIEF (if you own one)!*
*PARENTS: If you have any questions, please call one of the Troop Adult
Leaders. *
Mr. Johnson was a very good friend to the scouts. He and his wife were also
very big supporters of our Tricky Tray fundraiser. Please keep his family
in your prayers during this difficult time. Rest in Peace Mr. Johnson (Joe).

JOHNSON, Joseph of Bergenfield passed away peacefully surrounded by his
loving family on Friday, February 20th, 2015. Devoted husband to Cathy for
49 years. He was the loving father to his three children Joseph,
Christopher and Tracey, as well as his daughter in-laws Marci and Michelle,
and son in law Chris. Joseph was the cherished grandfather of Jason, Ryan,
Evan, Sydney, Christopher, Samantha and Caitlyn.
Born in Ridgewood Queens, he moved to Bergenfield with his wife Cathy in
1974, where he raised his three children and was an employee of Con Edison
for 42 years. He will be sadly missed by many and will always be remembered
as a kind-hearted man who was devoted to his family, always put others
first, and always had a positive attitude. Joseph was a veteran of the US
Marine Corps. He was an active member of the Gooney Bird and Lions Club. He
loved being a crossing guard, school bus driver, and life guard during his
last years. He was very involved as a Eucharistic Minister and lector at
his church, St John the Evangelist, Bergenfield, NJ.
Visiting for Joseph will be on Tuesday February 24th from 3pm-8pm at
Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave., Bergenfield, NJ.
All will gather at the funeral home on Wednesday at 9:00am for the Funeral
Mass at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, Bergenfield at 10:00am.
Cremation will be private. -
