Hi to All

My Name is Al White N0TVJ and I live in Eastern North Carolina in Brunswick County
and my QTH is about 1.5 miles from the Ocean. (Grid FM03uw) (Lat: 33.55.56N Long: 78.16.06 W)
and saw the announcement on themicrowave-request at lists.valinet.com concerning this project.
I am a retired Telcom Engineer currently constructing a EME station using a HPSDR for the
IF portion of the Transmitter / Receiver. And the Idea of a Beacon System and the possibility
of studying VHF-UHF-Microwave coastal propagation is very interesting to me.
The results of some testing in this area would allow me to use and debug the
equipment needed for EME at the same frequencies.
As I intend to try EME on 144 MHz to 10 GHz the hardware requirements are similar.
I know from my progress to date that the mechanical part of the EME dish
will take a number of years to complete so I have plenty of time for such a project.
My QTH seems to be in the zone where a good site could be located.

I have High Speed Internet at my location and most of the
equipment being constructed for EME on 144 MHz to 10 GHz could also be used for the TransAtlantic
monitoring / contacts.
I may have to build a less directional antennas depending on the targeted received locations.
I have gone to the links ( http://sites.google.com/site/n7bhcvhf/) referenced in Mark Casey, K1MAP
and Dave - N7BHC email postings and have a number of questions about how to best proceed.
I hope following this list will provide some of them.
One is the first is the contact details for Dave.

Thank you for the bandwidth

73's

Al N0TVJ
