[Tower-Speak] ELECTRIC TOWER WINCH

Hi George,  I have the same tower and had the same problem.  After doing
some searching I went with a electric style Warn winch.  The model was a
3200 AC  This would be a style that is wired to a vehicle.  So you will need
to have it wired it to a plug so you can plug it in for power.  I was able
to mount it to the current plate where to old winch came off from.  It works
like a charm,  I keep telling my wife I should have done this years ago.  I
can now just look out the window and watch it go up and down with the remote
controller in my hand.  You may need to watch it going up so you know when
to stop, I put a few pieces of tape on the tower and cable and watch for
them to meet up as a stopping point.  I also can watch when all of the coax
start to get tight that it is getting close.  As for the price you can do a
google search for the Warn 3200 winch and look for the best price.  I
believe mine was from a 4 wheel drive place out in Colorado and was around
400.00 or so, this was back in August of 2004 so not sure of current prices
right now.  If you have any other questions, let me know.
