Hello All,
There will be a Executive Meeting on Wednesday at 7pm at Fire Station 2 in Maumee. All Club Members are welcome and encouraged to attend this and all Committee Meetings.
The March General Meeting will include a remote Presentation from Randy/WU2S and will be about using the AREDN NET Mesh Network. The Presentation will focus on needed Equipment and common applications and use of a MESH Network.
AN UPDATED VERSION OF FLDIGI IS AVAILABLE ( 01/29/19 )
In the event that a Snow Emergency is declared on the day of any TMRA Event, that event will be cancelled. Please monitor the 147.270 repeater on the day of any event or Meeting.

***MEETING REPORTS***
Thanks to Allen / W8ALM and Dave / KD8EVN for all the work they did on creating the new Club QSL Card.
James / WD8IOL reports that Table sales for this years Hamfest are up over last year.
Bruce / AA8HS reports that are Membership Numbers are consistent.
Dan / KE8UE reports that the Tech Committee has been working on the 147.270 Repeater and it now has a new Power Supply. He went onto report that the Battery Back-up system is 90% complete. He also reported that there will some small interruptions in the Fusion Repeater in the future, a planned Equipment change will temporally take it off the Air.
Mike WA8SYD reports that the Bus for Hamvention will be $40.00 again this year. He will start taking reservations for seats soon.

Final planning is occurring and we are getting the final details locked down. Once again the TMRA Hamfest is shaping up to be an AWESOME Event.

As in Past years there will be a V.E. Session, Forums, excellent Vendors as well as Door and Cash Prizes. This Year there will be six $50.00 dollar, and one $100.00 cash prizes and the Grand Prize drawing is for $200.00. There will also be many door prizes.
The Tickets are just $8.00 and as always Parking is FREE.
Members are reminded that the Hamfest is the primary source of Income for the Club. Please be sure to Volunteer some time at the Hamfest. We often are short handed at critical Times and even just an hour of your time can go a long, long way.
The Silent Auction will be returning to Hamfest in 2019. The Auction Organizer has already begun to gather donations for the Auction. This year, the Money Raised will go to the completion of the Yaesu FT450D Station. This will include a Power Supply and Antenna Tuner. We were able to purchase this Station with the proceeds of last years auction. Keep an eye on this section for future News, including Items that will be offered. If you have Items that you would like to donate for the Auction, please contact Toby / KE8CZO. All Proceeds from this Auction go to purchasing Equipment for Club Member use.

TMRA SPRING TECHNICIAN LICENSE CLASS
The TMRA is happy to announce the Spring Technicians License Class. This Springs Class will follow the TMRAs typical 2 session format.
The first Session will take place on March 23rd followed by a two week space to allow for study, and then a second session on April 6th. The April 6th session will be immediately followed by a V.E. test Session. The course, as always is free. The V.E. Test will be a standard $15.00 charge and Books are available through the TMRA for a discounted rate of $25.00. If you, or someone you know is looking to become a Licensed Radio Amateur, please plan to attend.

TMRA New Ham Seminar
I have my License now what?
The TMRA is happy to announce the return of the New Ham Seminar. You have gotten your Ham Ticket and now you stand at the doorway to the entire world of Ham Radio, BUT NOW WHAT DO YOU DO FIRST?
This Seminar was created to help answer that question. There will be a variety of Equipment on-site, as well as experienced Hams to answer questions and give demonstrations.

ANTENNA BUILD
The TMRA will be hosting an 2 Meter Antenna Build (date TBD) The Antenna for this build can be found in the January 2019 QST Magazine. The build will be hosted by Rich / KD8WCB and Dave / KD8EVN and the cost is estimated to be less then $20.00 If you are interested please let Dave or Rich know and they will get you on the list. More information on this will follow in coming weeks.

Have you attended a Committee Meeting? You should. There is a whole lot of Club Business that is handled in the Committee Meetings. If you want to be a pert of the clubs Operation be sure to participate at the Tech Committee and the Executive Committee. Information on their Schedules is listed below.
The TMRA Tech Committee has done some work up at the Repeater site. The Downtown link is once again operating and is available for use.
The 6 Meter Repeater is back up and Running. The Weekly Net on this Repeater has returned. See info in the NET section below for this Net.

At the February meeting the Education program will feature a Mock NTS Traffic Net. Members will pass traffic in a real world/ off the air Net. If you would like to participate please create a short RadioGram and bring it to the Meeting. We will also be hoping to have an update on the Traffic that was created at the January Meeting.

Dan KE8UE, has asked me to list his weekly 6 Meter Nets. Dan runs 2 informal roundtable nets every week on the 6 Meter Band.
The first is a repeater based net on Monday Nights on the TMRA 6 Meter Repeater.
The Second is an SSB based net on Thursday Nights on 6 meter SSB.
Everyone is welcomed to check into these social Nets.
Mondays at 9pm. Roundtable Net on 53.110 with a negative 1 Mhz offset (W8HHF Repeater)
Thursday at 9pm. Roundtable Net on 50.255 USB
Dan also advises that on the Second Monday of every Month he needs a Net Control Operator for this net.
