Larry,
I don't have a manual on the GPR-90RXD but do have IN-3005S on GPR-90RXDS.
The schematic shows R-106, 500 ohm, as the screwdriver adjust IF gain pot.
Since I don't have the RXD manual I don't know what the differences are or what
the "S" refers to. But perhaps you have an RXDS.
WRT adjusting the pot, the manual says to set certain controls, adjust the
signal generator to 50 microvolts output, and "using R-106 and R-50 (the S-Meter
pot) set the S-Meter to S-9". That doesn't totally make sense as there would
be several possible setting I would think that would result in an S-9
reading. I couldn't find any other mention of R-106 but could have missed it.
Reprint of the manual with four foldouts (2 @ 11x17 and 2 @ 11x30) is $20
plus shipping. I'm sure that if someone has it on their web site for free
download, they'll mention it.
