What's the issue rebuilding the one you have? It's not like they're complex,
typically new seals and button em back up does the deed. Have you opened it
and looked? Unless the cylinder is scored there isn't much to do, even if
you have to glue your own Orings and cut gaskets. Even if the cylinder is
scored you can rend a hone at most rental places in the automotive section.
Remember to keep the hone moving and lubed, diesel works a treat at carrying
off cuttings and keeping the stones clear.
Running a hyd. cylinder is an option but you'll need to find one that mounts
like your pneumatic cylinder does or modify what you find. The rod is on the
retract side and it doesn't take up much area retract doesn't require much
sq/in piston, it shouldn't be an issue, if it is a 10 psi bump in air is
more than enough. It'll need a good oiler and perhaps suitable oil.
